Come learn something new with Bark!
Inner Bark (formerly known as Ecology Club) is a series of evening lectures, activities, and events surrounding the complex socio-ecological composition of the "Mt. Hood National Forest."
In this workshop, we’ll get up close and personal with the fungus among us. Sean Rowen Garmire will walk us through proper foraging etiquette, common PNW mushrooms, and how to safely identify mushrooms for eating. While this Inner Bark will be informational and exciting on its own, for the full experience, come on the Bark Out: Mushroom Foray on Saturday, November 12th.
The location will be indoors at Barks Office at 351 NE 18th Avenue, Portland, Or. 97232. This event will be classroom style learning so bring pencil and paper. Gender neutral restrooms will be available.
This training will follow Bark’s COVID-19 safety protocol. Space is limited. Masks optional but encouraged.
For more information about Bark's volunteer days, please see our What to Expect on a Bark Volunteer Day webpage, review Bark's COVID-19 Safety Protocol, or email Haley with questions. Thank you!
