Come learn something new with Bark!
THIS MONTH: Wildlife tracking skills enhance outdoor experiences, are a valuable tool for wilderness survival, and can be used to contribute to wildlife research & conservation. Make the most of your groundtruthing, wetland surveys, and forest walks by being aware of the multitudes of creatures around you.
Inner Bark (formerly known as Ecology Club) is a series of evening lectures, activities, and events surrounding the complex socio-ecological composition of the "Mt. Hood National Forest."
The location will be indoors at Barks Office at 351 NE 18th Avenue, Portland, Or. 97232.
The Bark entrance is down a little ramp between The Circut Bouldering Gym NE and Northwest Children's Outreach Center. If you find yourself in a one-way alley with the main Circut entrance, you can see through our windows by your feet, but should head towards 18th Avenue and look for the Bark sign.
Gender-neutral bathrooms available. Biking and carpooling encouraged.
This event will be classroom style learning so bring pencil and paper.
This training will follow Bark’s COVID-19 safety protocol. Space is limited. Masks optional but encouraged.
For more information about Bark's volunteer days, please see our What to Expect on a Bark Volunteer Day webpage, review Bark's COVID-19 Safety Protocol, or email Haley with questions. Thank you!
